Background
About
I'm a Senior Software Engineer focused on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and the platform tooling that keeps large engineering organizations moving. I currently work at JPMorgan Chase in Plano, TX, building APIs and automation for the firm's private cloud platform. These are the systems that control how software gets defined, versioned, and shipped to production across hundreds of engineering teams.
I've built backend systems across very different environments. I started at INSA, Ethiopia's national information security agency, doing security tooling and hands-on penetration testing on critical infrastructure. From there I moved to Stavanger, Norway, where I rebuilt the core analytics product at NEMS AS, cutting a 24-hour batch pipeline to three minutes and reducing infrastructure costs by 40% by moving off EC2. In the US, I built a Java Security SDK for Apple's Ad Platform, led a five-engineer team at Amazon to break up a monolithic system into serverless microservices, and then joined JPMorgan Chase to work on cloud platform tooling.
I hold two master's degrees in computer science: one from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and the University of Pisa, where my thesis produced a parallel dependency library in Java 8 for multi-core architectures, and one from Maharishi International University. My focus is the intersection of reliability engineering and developer experience. I want to build systems that engineering teams can reason about, deploy safely, and trust when things break.
